Overview

Zipak is an application for gathering dry refuse that purchases classified trash from residential and commercial places at attractive rates. Individuals have the capacity to sign up, set a collection time, and their rubbish is collected by our operative, Safir. The payment is then successfully deposited into the customer's bank account. This approach encourages suitable waste use, protecting the environment and promoting recycling, which aids in the creation of a neater and more sustainable civilization.

Research

"My primary goal was to enhance the aesthetics and interactive features of the waste collection app. Upon downloading and navigating through the various pages, it was evident that the app lacked modern design elements and customer engagement features. The previous design attempted to cram excessive information into each page with tiny text, significantly impacting the app's usability. Now, with a user-centric approach, users can easily register their waste, and the seamless interface ensures a hassle-free experience from door-to-door waste collection to payment."

Initial Design

My design journey began with initial drafts of wireframes for the application. Drawing knowledge from studying the competition and garnering insights from my mood boards, I managed to render several distinct design routes for the app, each with bespoke features. To better grasp my preferred style, I designed multiple pages for each route.

I began my design process by initially sketching out basic wireframes for the waste collection app. By researching competitors and drawing inspiration from my moodboards, I developed several distinct design directions, each featuring unique aspects for the app's functionality. For each direction, I sketched out multiple pages to better understand which style best aligned with the app's goals of user-friendly waste registration and seamless doorstep collection service."
